Resort Fees for Platinum Members

My husband and I are both Platinum, I emailed Harrah's concerning the resort fee and was given the same information. We have no intention of paying for things we don't use. I don't mind paying for internet, when and if we want it. $25.00 a night is way too high. We have several other casino's that would be glad to have our business. So we told Harrah's that until they change their policy, we will not be making any additional reservations. I guess we will see if it matters to them or not.
Glad to be advised of this. I am at 3700 credits and was thinking of making a trip to Horseshoe SI for a one day earning of 1000 tier credits which would be doubled thereby getting my back to platinum for 2015. I did that last year and saved a great deal of money in Vegas and Lake Tahoe regarding the dreaded resort fees. Last year I actually won about $400 doing this but a large loss is also a real possibility. Based upon this change there is absolutely no reason for me to take the risk. I am sure I will be Gold for the rest of my gambling career.
I, also, will not work toward renewing Platinum status in 2016. I made it for 2015, but there is certainly no incentive to maintain it in the future. I will still get comped rooms (no resort fees) at non Vegas sites.
I am fuming about these resort fees I was told $35 a night at Paris and Ballys. I was quoted over $900 for Ballys $1300 for a week at the Paris in May ! Are they serious we are Platium and have been loyal to CET for over 25 years. Very disappointed ??????

I just booked both Bally's and Paris. Paris charged me $29 plus tax each night and Bally's charged me $28 but didn't show taxes.
