Rincon a couple of updates

1) No more just ordering take-out at any of these 4 food places (the Cafe, Fiores, Oyster Bar, 'Ritas Cantina)
At 'Ritas you can order take-out if you are eating at the restaurant and I believe that is the same for the others.
So you might be able to go into one of these, order what you wanted for take-out and then ask for a box and box it yourself. That's what I had to do at the LVH cafe one time.

2) There's a sign in the lobby with the following
"Refresh Poolside Yoga// 10am & 11am
Relax Chair massages // 12pm - 4pm
Revive 12pm to 6pm Live Reggae, DJs plus Up & coming Artists

Admission is free for hotel guests $30 for non-hotel guests"

I guess it's all somewhere by the pool unfortunately I didn't notice the sign until I was checking out.
Weekend before last we went outside to check out the Reggae Sunday thing and it was pretty crowded. All the youngsters had the seats in the pool around the swim up bar and the lazy river was crowded with people walking through and floating on the inner tubes. There were no good seats to be had, unless you wanted to sit in the very back behind the cabanas.

We are going up this weekend for the concert and plan on getting to the pool early on Saturday. I wish Dive was free for 7*, because I'd really like to watch that drunken show, lol.
Glad we went on a week day. We had a "girls only trip" last week and we hit the pool right after breakfast and it was fabulous. Another reminder: have your ID with you if you want to charge drinks to your room. We did not have cash or ID so we settled for ice water with lime.
They have also started splitting your weekly food comps into $30 increments. I get $60/week and the machine spits out 2 $30 vouchers, which is nice you can either combine them or used them separately.

I found out that you can use the food vouchers to buy whole pies or cakes from bakery/dessert area in the buffet. Pies are $12.99, cakes are $25.99 and cheesecakes or flan is $35.99. Many times I don't use my weekly food credit since we can eat at the buffet for free, so I may end up grabbing a dessert (which are very nice looking) and share with my co-workers.

Worst customer service anywhere --the Cafe was awful, took up over an hour both times to receive food and then half of it was cold, the manager on duty was an idiot, the waiter gave us 'free' muffins to help ease the pain but when we complained he had no idea service was so slow...oh an he tried to deliver us someone elses food twice...
The kids working at the pool were rude, the slot workers allowed players to play multiple machines for hours when they would just sit their purse and cigs on the other dream card machine and clearly were only playing one machine.
The presidentual suite was amazing, but there were many burnt out lights...overall it was ok, we just drove to san diego to eat and hit the beach...they lost a lot of my play
That's too bad you had bad service, I generally receive really good service, but every once in awhile we get someone that's having a bad day.

There are a lot of people that play multiple machines and it ticks me off. There is a bank of 3 slots that I like to play and a husband and wife tag teamed and took them up for hours. Most of the time one person would play and the other two machines just sat there with credits, while the 2nd person was off somewhere else. I said something to the lady and she commented that there are a lot of other machines in the casino, which I replied those were the only 3 of that kind.

I would try to find a manager to intervene. Those people tag teaming to hog machines, knowing that others want to play, qualify for the A-hole list in my opinion. And the casinos that allow it don't deserve your business.

Yes, I agree that finding a manager would be good. Tag teaming to hog machines I think, is bad!

I know, in the past I would probably go find someone, but then I just found the negativity of it all not worth it. The machine will usually end up losing and I will blame it on the bad juju from the people, lol.

That's true too. Years ago my friend was walking toward a progressive slot she had been playing earlier, aiming for that specific one as it had been hitting good. A lady about knocked her over to get that machine. My friend was really peeved, but without saying anything to cause a scene, took another machine, and in a few minutes hit the progressive jackpot. Sometimes what goes around...

And the time it would take to find a supervisor and convince him/her to intervene, often just not worth the trouble.
