Rincon people anyone been to Santa Ysabel casino?

We will be at Rincon for my birthday next week and we are looking for other places to visit while we are in the area. Usually don't get out of the casino much when we're at Rincon.

Santa Ysabel is about 4o minutes from Rincon according to Google maps and we've never explored the Lake Henshaw area either.

If you have any reviews of Santa Ysabel casino please share, want to know the good and the bad.
I have been to Santa Ysabel; it is a small casino, probably 1/2 the size of Casino Pauma or Harrahs Rincon, but is new and clean. I think it is 27 miles from Casino Pauma if that helps any. I think it is only about 1 year old. The casino sits up on a hill overlooking Lake Henshaw, and from the restaurant, if you ask for a window seat or sit outside on the patio there is a wonderful view of Lake Henshaw. The restaurant is very reasonable, and everything I have tried there has been above average, and a very large portion. If you are lucky enough to be going on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, they have a prime rib dinner special that is great......soup or salad, prime rib, choice of potato and vegetable for $4.95. They serve it after 4:00, or if you are over 55 can't remember, you can have it served anytime after 2:00. They also serve wine in the restaurant or at any bar to patrons 55 or older for only $2 a glass, anytime. You do have to get a players card to partake of their specials. I would definitely recommend them, I love the view and the food, and usually manage to win a little bit there though I just play nickel or penny machines, nothing in a larger denomination. If you travel another 7 miles, you will reach the quaint town of Julian, a little town famous for it's apples, and pie shops. They have an old mine tour as well. If you like quaint small towns, it is worth driving just a few more miles.
Just wanted to add an update to my previous post. I went to Santa Ysabel casino yesterday (2/10/11) and was very disappointed with some changes at the restaurant. The $4.95 Prime Rib dinner is now available only to higher lever card holders. A new card holder would have to pay $15.95 for the Prime Rib dinner special now. We left, and had dinner at Casino Pauma on our way back home instead, where their prime rib dinner is 2 for $20 after 5 any day of the week.
We did stop at Santa Ysabel on our trip and like you said the view was wonderful. We were there mid week, so the prime rib wasn't an option. The restaurant was ok, but I wouldn't go there for the food. I was amazed at the number and variety of slots they have for a small casino. We won about $20 each and left for Julian.

We did like Julian although we only stayed long enough for me to find the "Candied Apple" bakery. I love candied apples(the red hard cinnamon flavored ones, not the caramel ones). Lucky for me the weather was right for them to make them the day we were there. I will have to call ahead next time to make sure I can pick some up before driving from Rincon to Julian. The scenery was beautiful and the road was nice. Next time we'll have to explore Julian.

It was nice to get away from Rincon and Valley View for a change.
