Rincon regulars have you lost access to the suites online too?

I've been booking the suites at Rincon when we stay 2 or more nights. Lately when I look at the available rooms, the suites aren't listed. For us paying for them when they weren't comped was worth it, but now that option isn't there. It doesn't matter how far out I checked, no La Jolla, no Palomar, no Coronado, no Catalina suites listed at all online.

We are all Diamond level players and play mostly at Rincon with a few trips to Tahoe and LV during the year.

I'll be there Wednesday and will ask, but I was just wondering if this is happening to others?

Or is this an "Escape to Rewards" benefit where you can't use your reward credits to upgrade a room.
They don't come up for me either, but they had in the past.

Maybe with the better weather there are more people going, therefore more high rollers requesting the suites?

I asked my host to put me in for one on 4/27, I will be up there for a concert, and he replied that he would see what he can do.
I sent an email and the reply was to check on availability of suites when you check in. They may or may not be available.

I tried several mid week dates in October and November and the suites were not listed. I like to know ahead of time how much I'd be paying for the suite I want. $50 to $100 ok, $300 not ok.
I'm not asking that they be comped as my play has been down.

Only staying 1 night Wednesday so it's not needed this trip, but for a stay of several days the suites are really nice. Thanks for the reply, hope you get your suite for the concert event.
Somewhat related to this topic I am having the same problem at Planet Hollywood. No longer able to book Panorama suites or any other higher priced suites. None show up as available for the entire year. I tried calling the Diamond # on the back of my TR card and was told the same thing. I'm willing to pay for the suites but can't get them.

I think this is now happening at various CET properties.

It seems they're changing their ways and it's going to depend on what's available at check in, which sucks. I agree Raisin I'd be willing to pay extra and be guaranteed the room. Maybe it's time to give MGM a shot?
Here's what I was told at Diamond check-in at Rincon.

It's to avoid people showing up with their printed out reservation for rooms they don't have that people were able to book online. What?

Is CET too big to have a reservation system that doesn't let you book a room online if it isn't going to be available when you arrive?
Sounds like they're trying to save the suites for their highest rollers.
My email to CET corporate asked about this recent change and if this was going to be system wide. I also said why I thought this was ridiculous to have to wait until check in to see if a suite was available.

Here's the reply I received from CET

"Thank you for contacting Harrah's Rincon - San Diego.

I was sorry to hear of your disappointment in our suite policy. In regard to booking suites, due to our limited amount of upgraded rooms/suites and having so many great players, we found it necessary to have our VIP hosts assign these rooms upon arrival based on tracked play. Once suites are assigned each day, the remaining suites become available for sale to our customers checking in that day. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We read every comment and listen to what our customers are saying. We may or may not be able to act on all the comments and suggestions; however, we will forward your thoughts to our Management for their consideration in future business decisions.

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,

Erin, good luck with that suite for your concert, hopefully your "tracked play" will warrant you that suite.

Thank goodness I'd already booked the rooms we wanted in Tahoe and Reno for our longer trips later this year. We've played at Pala 2 times recently and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and game selection better than Rincon. There is more space between the machines and the buffet is better. So I won't have a problem moving my play to Pala for my local casino and I'll have to work on finding a new LV casino for my play. I guess I'll be using up my reward credits with some mighty fine meals and spa visits this year.
