Just wanted to share our experience at the Rio in Oct.  We first went to the RIO during our APril trip and used the LVA coupon for $25 free play, using that generated 4 free nights but you had to pay the resrt fee.  Ok, not bad, my wife wanted to try it.  Fast forward to Oct. checked in had a great stay, then the email receipt came and some how there were meals charged to the room resulting in over $400 in bogus charges.  I called the RIO and you have to talk to Rio Rita first...very frustrating.  Finally got to thru to a live person and asked what the policy is for items charged to the room.  Every other hotel or even restaurant asks for an ID to verify you are the correct person.  I was told that accounting would be contacting me for more info...still waiting for that call!!

 

Finally just let the credit card company fight my battle.  I will be checking out in person from now on, usually we just check out and the bill is sent via email, never had a problem

 

The Rio hotel and casino staff were great, just need to teach the restaurant folks to follow the proper procedures.
