My 29 year old boy is making his first trip to Vegas. I would have recommended differently, but I'm interested if any of you folks have been to this place lately. I've read that it's nothing like it used to be, maybe 20+ years ago. It was cheap.......Spirit non-stop flights arriving 10pm on a Monday (January 9), and departing 6 am on Saturday for $550 out the door including both hotel and air. I'll wil also post this question elsewhere on LV Advisor. Give me your thoughts, please.
We have not stayed there for years, , but friends said the rooms were okay last year. No updates over there for a long time. We did walk through there twice this year, and found nothing really playable. There is energy and people in the pits, but all 15 dollar minimums and up. Also half of the bars are still closed. Not a low roller place to gamble or drink. The good news is the gold coast next door is, so he can go explore the strip or downtown during the day, and then go to the gold coast to play and get his drink on before walking accross the street for bed. I think he will have a great time !
