The road between LV and Laughlin 1 or 2 lanes each direction?

Many years ago I drove from Las Vegas to Laughlin and had the pleasure of being behind some truck hauling a hugh cyclinder at the cruising speed of 45mph. There was only 1 lane each way, so took some time to get past the truck 'cause you sure couldn't see around that cyclinder to pass safely.

So is 95 2 lanes each way now or still 1 after Searchlight?

Also, is there still a police or highway patrol car waiting around for someone to speed through Searchlight?

2 lanes and the road construction is done. I don't remember any segments that were 1 lane.
Speed limits are highly enforced in Searchlight. The drive last week was easy peasy.

When you get to Laughlin, use Thomas Edison instead of Casino Drive. Casino Drive is still torn up due to construction and landscaping.

We may go straight to Laughlin from the Los Angeles area and then go to LV. It works out about the same overall time as going to LV then to Laughlin and back to LV(different days). I'll still have plenty of time to get to our hotel in LV.

Do you or anyone else know how the River road is between Needles and Laughlin. Isn't there a cut off from the 40 before you get to Needles to get to the River Road?
