Ruth's Chris Steakhouse at Harrah's

My wife and I love RC and will go to the one in Dallas at least once every couple of months. We usually get our own steaks and then share the sides because they give you so much. When we went to the RC in Vegas, we were really disappointed to see that the prices were much more expensive then we paid at home, but we also shared a steak and was charged $5.00 for an extra plate for sharing. Not a biggie at a tourist destination, but rubbed me wrong at the time. I also noted the side portions were noticably smaller than we get at our local RC even though we paid more for the sides in Vegas. Again, I love RC, but will stick with the one in Dallas as I doubt I will go to the RC in Vegas anymore. Besides, it is better to try different places when on vacation anyway.
Yep, RC is EXPENSIVE. In June, ordered a steak, garlic mashed and iced tea. Total: $81.00. Used my $100 Rewards certificate. Good, but would not go again.
Fflowers and I ate there last night! It is not $100 pp unless you were to order one of the massive steaks and several sides. Granted, it is fairly expensive, but we were usng my $100 diamond dinner cert.

I ordered iced tea, the wedge salad, the petite fillet which was NOT petite by any standard, and we shared the au gratin potatoes which we could not finish. FFlowers ordered the bbq shrimp which came with mashed potatoes and also the harvest salad and iced tea. The food was amazing, truely excellent. We really enjoyed sitting at a diamond table with the full view of the strip.

Service was excellent, and I forgot to mention above how much we loved the bread. After the $100 cert was redeemed, our bill was $1.38. Spent 3 hours chatting over a wonderful dinner, we were not rushed one bit, and left a nice tip. Great experience.

As far as the dress code, I had on black capris with a dress shirt and Fflowers was dressed similar. I saw some dressed better, some dressed worse, no matter. It was July 4th and I think some were dressed more for fireworks than a nice dinner. It certainly doesn't require a serious dress-up in any case.

Enjoy!

We indeed ate at RC's at Harrah's. Just wore shorts and golf shirt............no problem. The steaks were very good and we were able to use the $100 diamond comp. Our bill came out to around $135. Can't beat the view. I hate to see the "old style" Vegas steakhouses being subbed out to chain vendors. If you haven't tried the steakhouse at Circus Circus.........you're missing a Vegas treasure!!!

When you pay with reward credits at Ruth Chris, is it double reward credits or regular? Someone posted they emailed Caesars and would post answer but I didn't see an answer.
Regular comps.

Hi Diane! Do you have to do anything to request the special "Diamond" tables here? Or do you just flash your Diamond card and hope that you get a window seat?

My mom and I are eating here in a few weeks... on a Saturday night at 8 p.m. I'm worried we won't be able to get one of these tables since it will be prime time. I've already made the mistake of telling her we should get one of these tables, and she's all excited about it!
