Slot machines tightened during promo???

I just got back today from Horseshoe Bossier City after a 3 night stay. When I arrived on Monday, almost all of the dollar machines were "out of service". According to a slot person, the software was being updated. They did not get the majority of the machines up and running until yesterday. It sure seemed that all the machines were very tight after the "update". I am wondering if they are tightening them during the 50% bonus period?? If you can't earn many tier credits, then they won't be handing out much in the way of bonus credits. This was a bummer of a trip. Other people checking out today were complaining about the machines too and there were not many in the casino last night. They will lose gamblers is we don't get much play out of the machines. I had to go to Margaritaville to win some money and I never win there.

So I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed their machines tightened??

"Software being updated." Yeah, right. Sounds like 'tech speak' for...tightening.

I believe it is no surprise that machines have been 'tightened' everywhere: Tunica, Vegas, and now Bossier.

Though my guess is that it isn't something done one day and undone the next. Supposedly casinos have to get authorization from the local gaming commission to make changes, and can't simply flip switches whenever they expect a crowd.

We used to do Horseshoe at Bossier, but not in a long time. Liked it a lot and it is exactly the same distance for us as going to Tunica. Haven't been to either in a while.

I don't know the answer for sure, but I'm suspicious.

Did the slot techs have shifty eyes by any chance? That would say a lot.
