Snubbed After 43 Years

I have been getting comped at Caesar's since 1972. After Harrah's ruined it, I stopped going, but returned last Christmas and had a reasonable time. I've been racking up tier credits in Atlantic City, now that they have decent VP there, and got to about 50,000 last year. I'm already Diamond this year. So I asked my host for three days. Here is his response: "We can comp you 3 nights at Harrah's, LINQ, Paris, Flamingo, Rio, Planet Hollywood, and Bally's.
Caesars is $347.00, $191.00m [sic] and $314.00." I don't want to go to those second-tier places. My wife likes the pool at Caesars. (I'd just stay Downtown if traveling solo.) $300+ per night for loyal Diamond Club member?!?!?!?! I was starting to warm up to CET, but they sure poured water on that fire.

As Diamond, can you get in to use other properties pools? You could stay at Harrah's and still use the pool at Caesars possibly?

I know that doesn't make up for them snubbing you but if she really likes their pool it might be an option.
I experienced the CET "snub", after decades of being Diamond and staying/playing at Caesars almost exclusively.

I had made Diamond, as usual, by August 2014, then for no particular reason I didn't gamble at any CET the rest of the year. My offers soon nose dived, even though still Diamond. Apparently CET doesn't like it when you don't visit them for a period of time.

Once I started spending some playing time at Caesars (and Horseshoe in Tunica), the offers gradually improved back to including Caesars.

Paris is quite nice, good Diamond Lounge with fun bartenders. Take the Paris offer, spend at least one of the days gambling at Caesars, and you'll be getting back in.

Good luck.

Deadeye, if you have not stayed at Caesars lately, FYI the pool is always packed!!! I remember when the pool was awesome, always a lot of chairs available, not anymore, people stake their claim early in the morning, and we end up sitting on towels, there are more rooms and locals can now use the pool. I highly suggest staying at Paris, hotel guest only use pool, and you could go to Bally's pool also. Planet Hollywood's pool is cool but very loud. IMO

have you checked the prices online after logging in? sometimes those are better than with a host.
Just out of curiosity Deadeye, do you ever tip your host with any wine or gifts? We do and we are no where near your status but our host is good to us.
Is it possible there is something at CP jacking up rates?
Yes, as Diamond you can use CP pool no matter where you stay--not saying that is convenient...

Not necessarily true. I'm not a pool user, but I have a friend who is. She stays at Harrah's and is 7 Stars, but likes to use the pool at Caesars Palace. Unless she has a current room key for Caesars Palace she has to go through the hassle of getting a host to approve pool use at CP.
I would not call Linq, Paris, or Planet Hollywood second tier but I understand your frustration. It is not smart to stiff someone who has given you regular business for 43 years but some of those suits are not very smart it appears.

I have not stayed there since it was I P so I have to ask, has Linq improved to the point of not being second tier? If nothing else I have read that the elevators have not improved.
I didn't have a problem with I P but I felt it was bottom tier level as far as the strip goes. Location not considered I would take Palace Station tower rooms over I P.
