Sources Say Circus Circus Las Vegas is Sold

Memories of Circus-Circus:

1) Second worst buffet in Las Vegas.

2) Great steakhouse.

3) Nothing worse, after a losing football weekend, than traipsing all the way to the back tower for the Monday Night game while having strollers nick your shins most of the way.

4) For awhile, best sports comp rate in the city.

5) I remember, for a halloween promo (you dressed up, you got free drinks) for the Monday Night football game, my date wore an Austin Powers Fembot outfit and she had a British accent. Security decided she was a working girl and asked me to get her out of there. Everybody sitting at the game knew she was a Fembot but security.

My memory of the breakfast buffet was a 20 pound tub of bacon and and equal-size tub of scrambled eggs.

In the 90's it was 99 cents.

Whack-A-Mole game was great fun.

Perhaps security never saw an Austin Powers movie.

Yeah,the Fem-Bot costume is HOT!

Its being sold to Phil Ruffin (the Treasure Island guy).  Not sure if thats good or bad.  I honestly haven't been in TI  for about 10 years.

If I'm not mistaken,when I first started going to Vegas in 1979, C.C. didn't even sell real bacon.I remember hearing it was some kind of "bacon substitute".
