staying at Caesars 11/11/2011

I haven't been a diamond player for a long time, However I booked two rooms for november 11 thru 14, 3 nights. I prepaid a 3day total per room 422.24. with tax for both rooms came to about 1000.00. My son and son in law wanted to stay there this time. Two questions is this a reasonable price and I noticed recently the prices for this time period have went up considerably. Is something going on during this time period?

The last time we stayed at the aria, rooms were excellent, costs were about the same as this reservation, have I done myself a dis-service by staying at Caesars. Should I ask for an upgrade or anything specific when we check in ?

The Great Gift Wrap Up is that week and all the diamond and seven star card holders will be in town.....If you pick the weekend before or after that weekend its like half the price.

And it's 11/11/11 on a long Veterans Day weekend... I'm sure that has something to do with it too.

The cost of the rooms seems ok, but it depends on what room category you booked.

I also believe since its the height of Great Gift wrapup ( that weekend), yes it WILL be flooded with Plat. Diam., & 7* at Caesars.

Hopefully you booked a good room to begin with?
Never hurts to ask, but will probably be tough for upgrades at that time.

We were "Walked" last year from our Palace Tower premium reservation at Caesars during the GGWU (and we are diamond!). They gave us a GO room at the Flamingo and a $100 food credit, which we used for the Buffet of Buffets. A few months later on our next stay at Harrah's, they gave us a 2-bedroom suite. Then the next stay we each got a Red Room at Paris. Since then we almost always get a suite (we stay mostly at Harrah's).
