Staying at Paris

Staying at Paris for a few days, first time there , what can we expect, usually stay at the Rio
Really good restaurants. From the burger bar to the cafe to the boulangerie...all really good (I really love the ham and cheese crepe). Decent table games, lousy video poker. Nice rooms...ask for a "P" room as they're a bit larger.

All of the employess are very nice and friendly. They have a wide variety of slots of different deniminations and many table games.

The "coffee shop" closes at 11 pm now that the over-hyped Sugar Factory opened. We love Mon Ami Gabi for lunch. Good late night stuff can be had in the walkway between Bally's/Paris, as well as in the Tequila Bar at Ballys. Ballys Steakhouse is totally old school and delish.

Enjoy.

Love that Tequila Bar while listening to music coming from the Bally's Indigo Lounge at the same time as it's right there. If you don't mind public wifi, Paris has Cafe Madeline, which is a coffee/pastry shop and has wonderful goodies. It has free wi fi.

In addition to the lounge in the back of the hotel going towards the parking lot, there is a music lounge near the front and it's open so you can play near there and enjoy that music at the same time.

For some reason I don't play at Paris much but I have enjoyed my stays there and have found the service to be good. Breakfast or brunch at Mon Ami Gabi is a must for me each time. Same super caloric meal each time. Blueberry french toast, sausage (and sometimes an egg as well) and coffee. Yummy, indeed.

Red rooms are a nice upgrade, comfier beds, better tv's and coffee pots. P rooms are old bit bigger and have coffee pots. Staff is always friendly, buffet really good for breakfast. Since our MGM comps stopped coming when the players club changed, Paris is our new home base.
I agree with everything that has been said. You will enjoy your stay. Ask for an upgrade to a "P" room. It is a large room at the end of the hall and has windows on 2 walls. I have never had a red room so I can't comment on them.
Ask for a P room at the end of the hallway. I asked for it one time, and got one at the beginning of the hall, in the inner corner. Paris has always been friendly.
I agree with the other posters about Bally's Tequila Bar, great margaritas and cheap eatin'. Last time I ate there I think they had $1 tacos. The nachos can feed 3 or 4 people!

One of the best things about Paris is the great little bakery and coffee shop not too far from check in. Breakfast croissants or pastries are really wonderful!! It is also nice to be able to walk through the shops to Ballys; I have always had better luck playing the slot machines at Ballys than Paris. If you have never gone on the elevator that takes you to the top of the Eiffel Tower, check it out. I think it is especially great at sunset, and you have a wonderful view of the fountains at Bellagio. Lastly, we have enjoyed Mon Ami Gabi as well; sitting at the bar for drinks and appetizers, or sitting at the tables that are just above street level facing the fountains in the evening is very, very special. Have a great trip; I think you will really enjoy Paris.
thanks everyone, will take all the info and check it out

Does the Tequila Bar at Bally's have video poker?

Thanks,
