Staying at Rio after long absence

Will be staying at the Rio 9/11-9/18, and have a few questions. I'm sure I have the lowest grade room and was wondering if anyone has taken them up on the offer for strip view & higher floor for 10.00 a night?
Has anyone gone to the seafood buffet, is it worth the price?
Someone said there's a small refrigerator in the room, don't remember that at all, is there?
Loved the Rio until Harrah's took over. Then the M was built LOVED the M even more until Penn took over, host is gone offers are pretty much gone to.
Got a fair offer from Rio so were taking it. Had many wonderful trips to Rio,hope we'll make more.

I also have 4 nights booked at the Rio, the first week in October. I have never stayed there before, so I am looking for advice on which are the best rooms to request. We have 3 nights comped and one night at 70.00.

I did go to the seafood buffet a long time ago. It was good, not really worth the price we paid, in my opinion. They mention Lobster, but it's really just little bits and pieces of chopped up lobster bodies. The crab legs were pretty good. And tons of other seafood options. So if you love seafood, I would say go for it. If you are not really excited about seafood, stay away and just go to any buffet that offers crab legs.

I heard that they have Keurig coffee machines in the rooms. Is this true? If so, we will stop and get some K cups on our way over there.
Try for a high floor with a pool view in the Ipanema tower.
It's been several years since I've tried the seafood buffet and was not impressed.
Nice size refrig in room. Also Keurig. You can bring your own but we were gvien more whenever we asked the housekeeper. Rooms have been redone and are decent. Staying a few days at Caesars then the rest at Rio in November. Stayed in Ipanema tower. We prefer the carnival to seafood buffet. Just think its a better value for the money.

We always stay at the Rio and will be there again in Oct..We have never went for the pre-arranged upgrade to a strip view,we usually just a$k the desk clerk nicely. If you have never eaten at the Village Seafood buffet, I say it is a must do.
We were on the diamond floor in Ipanema tower. We were told that coffee is complimentary there. You may have to pay in the others I think.

We didn't know this when we were at Caesar's in January where they had the Keurig coffeemakers. Maybe they wouldn't have charged diamonds, but we never asked. We bought some of our own. It was something like $12 for 4, I think. If I recall, they didn't even leave cups after the first day.
When we stayed at the Rio in April, our room had a Keurig but we didn't have any complimentary coffee. You could buy it in the Mini bar (I think it was 3 for $8 or $9). We went to the grocery and bought a 12 pack for $9. Rio does have a nice size fridge and an in-room safe that is pretty spacious. I will say the TV's need updated pretty badly. They are 32 inch but big ancient ones. We have had to have them come fix them several times because the picture kept going black and white. Other than that we love the rooms!
PS - Their pool is great too!! We will be there October 2-6!!!
