Suggestions needed for Feb CP stay

1. Booked 3 nights free Forum tower starting Feb 18, 2013.
2. Then received emailed offer for Millionaire Maker slot tourny at Harrahs for same dates, but CP was not one of the offered hotels.

I've tried emailing Harrahs and got the Western Reg. c/s staff person who confirmed what the event registration person had said which is I would have to book at least 1 night at one of the hotels from my MM offer. And give up 1 of my nights at CP which I believe would give me 2 trips since 2 hotels.
I don't have a host anywhere, so any one have a suggestion. I'll not do the tournament and just keep all 3 nights at CP if they won't compromise.

Never stayed in Forum Tower(have Deluxe King booked). Have been able to book comped Augustus Tower previous trips.

Is there a frig in room to store my medication or do I need to request one?

Any rooms to avoid(read 1 review where room was over Pure nightclub and person was unable to sleep).
We stay at CP often and I would agree that you skip the Harrahs and stay there. As for the frig, call the hotel services as soon as you get in the room and they will bring you a frig up to your room.

Just ask for a room on a high floor and you will be fine. Our rooms were not noisey at all.

Have a great time. If you go on a regular basis, let me know and I can get you my host's name.
Just some counterpoints to check on:

If you prefer bath to shower, some have reported that Caesars Forum rooms had shower only, no tub. Check on that if an issue for you. Or, maybe you can get the upgrade to Augustus Tower as before.

Harrah's USED to put on killer slot tourneys, as good as or better than most places. Lots of fun stuff, fantastic buffet dinners (for tournament players only) and 2 fantastic breakfasts in the Range. But, I think the Range has closed or is closing, so don't know about this. Haven't done a Harrah's tourney in a long time, so don't know if they are still as good.

I wouldn't worry a bit about the "two trips" thing. But, will they book you two CET properties in the same trip?

Good luck. Caesars is certainly the nicer property of the two, but Harrah's is OK.
The Range has been replaced by a Ruth Chris Steakhouse.

FWIW, every time my confirmation has said Forum Tower, they put me in either a Palace Tower or Augustus Tower room.
Lisa, I'm hoping to be upgraded to Augustus tower room, do you know where Diamond check-in is located? Is it with the Augustus/Octavius towers check-in?

ProfBac, my son wants to go to Gordon Ramsay Steak, so we'll try Ruth Chris next trip.

Candy, I wonder if they plan on some refreshment for the tournament, my husband played in a smaller tournament about 3 years ago and I don't think they even offered water. This is a qualifier for the Millionaire Maker tournament so maybe they'll offer something. I'm really in LV for a conference so I probably shouldn't be fitting the conference in around a tournament schedule anyway.

fred512, thanks for the host name offer, but we tend to spread ourselves between LV, Tahoe/Reno, and Rincon with more trips to Rincon since it's closer to us.

Anyone know what the "Early check-in fee" is for CP or if they charge it for Diamond and 7 Stars. Since the conference is at Mandalay Bay, I'd prefer to get checked-in at CP and be done with it. Can you pay for the Early check-in with reward points?

raisin7, although it's been a while since I've stayed at CP, I'm pretty sure diamond check in is located with the Augustus/Octavius towers check in. There may not be a fee for early check in. I was in Laughlin for NYE and arrived early on 12/30 before the crowds. There was no fee for early check in. By arriving early, I was able to get a slightly better room location, and needed to wait until the room was cleaned before they gave me the keys. When I went back to pick up the keys, check in was a zoo.
Diamond check-in is now in the same room as 7* check-in (behind the heavy doors--wish they would do something about that).
What used to be the Diamond check-in area is now general check-in.
I am really tempted to do the Millionaire Maker Tournie myself, despite the lower tier rooms with the offer. I have been wondering the same thing about any extra amenities with it.
We have not been charged the fee for check-in yet and have been able to check in early several times so I think it is waived for Diamond.
Luckily I saved the email with the offer and it says $40 dining credit. I gave up my first night at CP and registered for the tournie with a 1 night stay at Ballys(since we're going to GRamsay Steak at Paris to use that $40). Registration person said the 18th is tournie registration and tournie play starts the 19th.

To rearrange my CP stay and add the Tournie offer, I had to call the phone number listed on the offer(just a regular hotel registration # I believe).

Candy, is 7 Star registration across from Starbucks or further down the hallway towards the Augustus tower elevators?

Lisa, I'm going to try to check in early and see what happens. I vaguely remember they put a Bell Desk near the Augustus/Octavius check-in.

If you use the valet parking at Augustus/Octavius entrance off Flamingo do they park the vehicles in a garage?
