Suite Upgrade at Caesars Palace

I have a comp'd room in Augustus tower for an upcoming trip and I'm content with that. However, I'm wondering if anybody has ever had success getting a nice suite upgrade. I'm considering asking this time and I'm even willing to pay a little per night if it's really nice. Knowing what others may have been able to do will help me be specific when asking.

Thanks in advance. . . .
I'm in the same boat. My wife booked a trip in April to see Elton John. We are also staying at Caesars Palace. I am a 7star. Which tower should I ask for?
Also thanks in advance

Blue Skies,

The Augustus Tower is really great. It is a walk to the Casino as it is on the far south end. It has a beautiful spa tub and spacious room. The forum is close to the casino but only has showers. All the rooms are nice. I am not sure how asking for an upgrade to a suite would go. The Augustus is pretty nice and they are not real great and changing rooms.

All the rooms are nice but if they ask you to stay at the Roman Tower, don't settle on that. The rooms are bad. It is the only tower that needs to get remodeled yet. If you want, you should contact my host to book your rooms. She is great and really great to us. Email me at [email protected] if you need more info.

Have a great time. We are out in April as well.
The Augustus tower is not that far from the part of the casino that is near the mall. You do have to take a couple of "back" hallways to get there. There is a small hallway that takes you past the pool and takes you out near the buffet, go past the nice chocolate shop and around the corner and your in the casino. Takes less that 10 minutes that way.

It depends upon your level at CET. If you are a 7-star, you can specify to your Vegas host what tower and type of room you want at CP. Important: Get a Vegas host. (My former host in New Orleans had problems getting me into CP.) Now, my Vegas host (working out of PHo) gets me into the a Forum tower double bay suite. Formally I stayed in the Octavious tower in a one bedroom. If you are at the Diamond level, it might be a crapshoot.
Augustus is better than most suites, even at Caesars. IMO
Just got back from a weekend at Caesars. Thanks for the tip on the Augustus Tower. We asked for it, got it, and it was like a mini-suite. Worked out great.
Can't say the same for the hotel/casino. Much too big with way too much walking. And the best DDB VP at the $ level was 9/5. Still managed to get in a thousand tier each day (gettting the bonus each day) and ending up a winner thanks to KAces (with a one Ace hold).
The Diamond Lounge was always crowded when we visited, but there were tables available. Food was mostly salad and a few hot items (which they removed at about 6:30). Service was great.
Pretty much ate all our meals at the Orleans and GVR.
Do not plan on going back there...we'll stay with the local casinos, off the strip, where we get preferred parking and reasonably priced meals (as in free).
The next step up would be Octavious Tower. You could call now and ask if you could purchase an upgrade.
I did that a couple of times and was pleased with what I was quoted. I just didn't want to rely on the $20 trick.

Personally I think Augustus Tower is the best. Octavious rooms are a little smaller and you have to walk to the Augustus Tower to use the exercise room or SPA (which happen to be very good).
I am diamond and just returned from a Comp'd stay at Caesar's. When I checked in, I asked the agent if I could get into the Nobu hotel. After checking with Nobu that they had rooms, she cleared it with my host and I got a free room in Nobu.

Very nice rooms--"spa-like." lots of teak, contrasting dark and light tile. lots of angles. very large flatscreen. walk-in shower (no tub like in the Augustus/Octavius rooms), and no view, since Nobu is a re-make of the original Caesar's tower--now surrounded by other, taller towers.

The location was awesome--right next to Cleo's barge, so it was great quick access to the casino. The elevators very very high-tech--no buttons. You use your room card to gain access to your floor.

I ended up doing a reverse $20 trick and tipped the agent after she finished.
