Tahoe-Harrah's Executive or Harvey's Premium?

We are travelling to Lake Tahoe for our first visit. We can't decide between an Executive room at Harrah's or a Premium room at Harvey's. Does anyone have any experience with either room?

We prefer a room with a view as we'll likely spend some time lounging in the room. We are Diamond. Are there any upgrades beyond the level of these two rooms? We will be arriving in Lake Tahoe on a Saturday morning for long weekend.

What can we expect weather wise? We will be flying in to Reno on a Friday night, spending that night at Harrah's Reno, then driving to Lake Tahoe Saturday morning. We decided it would be best to save the drive to LT for daylight hours since we are newbies to the area.

Any input/advice anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks.

Either room is Fine. I happen to like the Harveys side better, and its closer to the Lake.
I also like the Harveys casino alittle better.

Weather is Iffy this time of year. Just have to be flexible...........and having a car with Mud/snow
tires is best. Or have an SUV to begin with.

Hope you hit it at a good time, and have fun!
Regular rooms:

Harvey's is our "home" casino. The view is better from Harvey's because it's closer, but the rooms are older. Harrah's Executive rooms have two bathrooms and the bottled water is free. We like the Executive room better.

Upgrade to suites:

We've been upgraded at both. Again, while the suite at Harvey's is older, it is the coolest suite we've ever had. Full-on picture windows of the lake (not the sideways windows of a regular room) a jacuzzi that gives you the lake view while in the tub, AND has the remote curtain at your fingertips while IN the jacuzzi.

The best part of the Harvey's suite is the balcony. Regardless of the season, we blanket-up and sit out there staring at the lake.
I about fell off my chair when I saw that picture, it's so similar to mine!

LOL! Amazing!

They should use them in a commercial for their hotel....
Sierra and Vetsen, you just gave me a reason to stay at Harveys. I've always stayed at Harrahs cause I like the Executive Room. Last summer, I was upgraded to a gorgeous 1 bedroom suite. Akron, when are you going? If it's a busy weekend, complimentary upgrades may be hard to come by.
Lisa, we are there at the end of March arriving Sat morning and departing Tues morning.

We went ahead and booked the Executive at Harrah's. Both Harrah's & Harveys are comped except for Sat night. It was only a $10 difference between the two properties for Sat (Harrah's $10 more). We are assuming that we will not get a suite upgrade since we arriving on a Sat so decided to go with the slightly newer room.

Just curious are the whirlpool tubs at Harveys one person or two person? Do any suites at Harrah's have whirlpool tubs?

Which I think makes sense. I'd put standard room at Harrahs above standard room at Harveys.

I've always booked the Executive Rooms at Harrahs cause I know what I'm getting and have been upgraded once. I've been tempted to book Harveys to stay somewhere different but don't want to be stuck in an older room.

Some of the suites at Harrahs have jacuzzi tubs.
