Taxi cost to Caesars

What should be the cost of taking the taxi from the airport to Caesars? I usually rent a car for 7 days but this year the rates are sky high and just taking the taxi will probably make more sense. If we want to go somewhere during the trip I will just rent a car for one day.

Thank you for your info.
Janice
If you have a cell phone download the Lyft or Uber app it is much more economical. I think the last time I took a cab it was about 25 for that fare but that is an iffy recollection.
If you aren't in a rush, the shuttles (all are about the same) charge $7.50 one way. Sometimes they wait until the shuttle is at least half full before they take off, so you can wait 5 minutes or 20 minutes before they head for the hotels. Usually more like 5-10 minutes. Also, you might not be the first one dropped off, but that never bothered us. We kind of enjoyed the "scenic route" of different casinos people were going to.

Anyway, you don't have to worry about being long hauled or traffic running the meter up as with a taxi. One price, and pretty low. Cheaper even than Lyft or Uber, except that you might get a free ride the first time. We haven't done either, as we only have flip phones. But I read where Uber and Lyft are both instituting systems that hook up with any kind of phone, to capture the old foggy population like us. Ha.
Janice, If it is just you, yes a shuttle will be a tad cheaper but most likely will take you much longer. You will likely have to wait until the shuttle fills & you never know if you will be the first or the last one dropped off. I have done shuttle 2x as a solo--never again. Took 45 -90 min to get to my hotel.
Uber/Lyft is around $15 from the airport. You do need the app for each of these but if you have never used them there are numerous promo codes for free rides. (FLYLV is the LYFT one we used for 5-$10 ride credits while in VEgas) You will need to take the pedestrian walkway over to the parking garage & walk up one more flight in the garage to get to where the ride share pick ups are.
A cab will run you about $30 from the airport.

Thanks for the replies and info. I will be traveling with my husband and arriving around 4PM. Have used the shuttle once but it takes too long and traffic will be picking up at that time of the day. I have never used Uber or LYFT as I don't live in a large city where I would ever use it. So I might just stick with the taxi. I did go ahead and set up a rental with Alamo and will keep checking the rates and if still too high will just cancel at the last minute. Janice
Janice, have you checked into renting a car elsewhere? For our Christmas trip this year, we are going to rent from one of the Enterprise locations that is off the airport, and then selected the option to return to a different location and picked the return place to be the airport. It saved nearly $200! We will have to take either a cab or uber/lyft one way to the off site location, but that shouldn't cost us more than $20. Just an idea to consider if you really like having a rental car like we do!
Thanks for the info. I have made a reservation with Payless for $200 less than other companies.
Dollar or Budget are my go to companies
Hertz owns Thrifty & Dollar
Avis owns Budget & Payless
No reason to pay more to Hertz or Avis!
