Things are a changin

Just received the latest TR magazine and the offers in there really suck. Also I don't like the new TR cards.

My father and I stayed at Ballys in August 2011. I had left with 900 points on my gold card and my father had only 300. We are going back 04/01/12 thru 04/06/12. Both of us got comp rooms for the whole stay. We could have stayed at harrahs, imperial palace, rio, Paris or planet hollywood with all rooms free for the whole week. I am not sure why we got this offer. We must have gotten lucky.

Yes they are a changing - got the new mag yesterday and yes the offers suck. Also went to log in this morning and had to set up a new password. Once I got in though everything else was the same including no comps week-ends at CP and PH and nothing at all for NYE which was all open for me last year at this time. I'm afraid this is not getting any better for us "old timers..."
For you newbies - that is pretty much how CET has always operated (easy comps for new low rollers) but some of us are noticing some ominous signs. Might be time for me to move some of my play elsewhere...

One last thing......as long as I am getting free CET rooms in Vegas, free diamond lounge and some free food, I will always be happy! I really do not gamble enough to justify any more, CET has to make a profit sooner or later. I heard 25 percent of what they take in(net or gross not sure) go for interest on their loans.

Thought is was just me! Played more than ever on my last trip (AUG. 2011). We're planning a return trip in July and usually w/my companion's # always score four free nights (have been comped at Flamingo, Paris, and Rio past few years). This year nada. Not even that DUMP the IP. Maybe people will have exhausted the Great Race comps in a few months and I might start to get some offers, but I'm not holding my breath!
