tipping for room service, etc.

It's been a while since I have been in Vegas.
What is a fair tip for maid service these days? We tip daily. Does the quality of the hotel room affect how much you leave?
And while we're at it, how about those guys who take your luggage curbside? Or do you only tip them when they bring the luggage up to the room?
And how about car valet service? Coming and going?

I tend to be an over-tipper. I usually do $5/day for maid (IF room is clean upon arrival and good service received thereafter.)I will tip the valet coming and going $5 each as I don't valet often and do appreciate the service.I tip the bell clerk $2/bag, or $5 min if I only have 2 bags, when delivered to the room.For room service, I'll give a tip over the automatic tip on the bill; usually $5. For the biohazard crew that cleaned up my son's vomit (on both beds and several areas on floor) I gave $20 each as they did such a good job with a smile.
