Total Rewards credit card?

just got back from Vegas, and I have earned some pts on my total rewards card, after checking on the TR website it says if I don't use my card in 6 months my pts will expire. so my question is since I don't live near a Harrah's and travel to Vegas about every year and a half, if I would sign up for there credit card and use it every once and a while will this keep my pts from expiring?
The point do expire in six months. Using the credit card will keep the point valid for six months from the last use. You can also make a purchase through the total rewards marketplace on the total rewards website to keep the points active.
I've been using the Total Rewards VISA/Bank of America credit card for years.
...best way to keep your points fresh and active.
Here in Calif. I have my monthy utilities set up for direct charge to the card.
It's a bill you're always going to pay so you never extend yourself, and your
points never grow old.

If you use it as your main credit card, you'll also earn points every time you
spend a buck which helps too...I don't need the points any more so my
utilites are the only thing I use the card for to stay current.
I need free flights more than I need room comps so my main VISA is SOUTHWEST.
I think I will sign up for it, and just use it once and a while. I too need to rake up airline miles more. but would like to keep my pts up, I sure liked the free rooms we were able to get with the TR card, with minimal pts....

Now if only I could put my mortgage payments on the card!
Shame it's only available to U.S. residents.
