We visited Harrah's Joliet (IL) on Friday, January 20. This was the first time we've been here in about four year. They did a nice remodel on the place, but the gaming floor is still small.
Anyway, as I was playing, a host came up to me (the first time EVER anywhere), thanked me for coming, gave me a $25 food credit, and her card if I needed anything. The purpose of the trip was to get a second badge in the Quest. I was very happy to get the badge along with a $20 profit.
As my husband put in his card to check to be sure he got his 25 tier credits, a different host greeted him and gave him a $25 dining certificate as well.
We visited the buffet and added on the rib eye steak ($7 upcharge) and enjoyed the complimentary meal. There was a nice selection of food that was actually hot and fresh.
We live in NW Indiana, about 13 miles from Hammond Horseshoe and 34 miles away from Joliet. It took us 35 minutes to get to Joliet vie 80/94 and 80. It takes us about the same time to get to the Horseshoe as there are no interstates nearby and we drive through several towns to get there. Horseshoe is very stingy with their comps to both of us. We may have to consider Joliet more often. We are both Diamond, by the way.
