Total rewards visa and Diamond new offer

I just saw a post on yahoo groups see below. Does anyone have more info. Do you have to be a previous Diamond member? Does this apply if you already have the Visa card? I probably don't meet the qualifications but it doesn't hurt to ask and I can always dream :>).

"Missing your Diamond status? If you apply and are approved for the Total Rewards Visa Card by April 8, 2016 and spend $4,000 by July 8, 2016, you will maintain your Diamond Status through January 2017!

This appears to be something new. Tread carefully. Priot offers from the TR Visa did NOT included Diamond Lounge privileges. I don't recall the $100 Celebration dinner either.

My advice would be to ask the right questions based on what you really want as far as perks go.

Teach8 it seems that after more research on forums, it is a specific offer for people who already Diamond members and do not have a TR Visa card. That is what I was afraid of... the usual TR Visa " Diamond VIP " offer is not worth it to me. You get nothing that I would be interested in.
