Tropicana vs. Rio

I just came back from a trip where I spent 2 nights at the Rio (Ipanema Tower) and 3 nights at the Trop. The Tropicana has newly remodeled rooms, and yes, they were nice. Pretty, nice beds, etc. Really just a standard type room - nothing overly special but new.

The Rio room was a little worn, but I do love the sitting area with a couch and a chair, and also a fridge. The TV was not a flat screen (as others have said) but it was a large TV in a big armoire.

Which one did I prefer? Surprisingly, the Rio. I liked both, but the room at the Trop was very noisy, even on the 16th floor. I would not have thought the street noise would be so loud on the 16th floor, but it was. Lots of sirens, and some three tone notes that played over and over.

My biggest complaint at both places, is food prices. Overpriced, for sure.

I'd stay at both again, but price being equal, I'd choose the Rio.
I like the Rio also. Like the Sportsbook better also.
