we are going to tunica after Christmas which hotel would be nicer to stay at harrahs or horseshoe. thanks

Generally, I think Horseshoe has a nicer hotel and casino, although the furnishings in the rooms are slightly dated. Harrahs' has 3 hotels but two of those are separated from the main property/casino, so if you stay in one of the two satellite hotels, a shuttle is provided to the casino.

If it were me, I'd go with Horseshoe.

I stayed recently at Harrah's Tunica and regret it. The main problem is location, the casino isn't attached to the hotel. Also harrah's is geographically isolated a few miles from all the other casinos. Haven't stayed at the horshoe but at least it is next to the gold strike and road house.

I've stayed at all of them (including the non-Harrahs properties) and my preference is the Roadhouse. It's dated but this time of year that Jacuzzi is nice to warm up in. If you want to go to Harrahs, there is a shuttle from the Roadhouse/Horseshoe/Gold Coast area.
