Update: New NCL Cruise Voucher pickup Offer end of July

Anybody else get a "NCL Cruise voucher" email to pick up Mon-Thurs, thru Mar.21 ?
Pick up at Ballys TR desk or any other participating TR desk."

Well, heres the thing........the email was sent out Mar. 10.
I arrived in town Mar. 10 and most of my stay at Harrahs.
I COULD have picked up the Cruise voucher had I Known about it.
Instead, I got home, only to find the email telling me to Pick up the voucher!

I wasn't about to turn around and go back, so, I made close to 10 phones calls &
emails to Cust. Service before I finally got it resolved, By Phone, with Harrahs LV VIP services.

She was able to get the TR supervisor to agree to MAIL it to me, since I was just there!

So IF you got the email and Can't make it? Call the CE prop that Likes you best,
and ask for VIP services. Can't hurt to ask.....and Don't waste your time with All the other schmoes.
I was at the Council Bluffs casino when received the email on my phone to pickup the voucher mon thru Thursady until the 28th. Was there for 4 days leaving Sunday so stopped by total rewards to see if can pickup a day early. Showed the total reward desk the email and supervisor stated did not know anything about it. Called my host when got back home and advised I wanted the voucher. She had to check with marketing and pulled strings. Just got voucher in mail today and going to call tomorrow and see what cruises and dates available. Probably be cruises right away and I will not be able to use.
I got mine while in Vegas. I was lucky and got the email before I left. Can't wait to cruise again.
Anyone that got the voucher and actually called NCL--can you share any details including cost please???

Generally (after getting a few of these), they cover your cabin only. You pay port taxes and gratuities. Depending on your level of play, it could be an inside room, or balcony.

I called and booked for a cruise on their new ship the Breakaway going to Bermuda on 6/16/13. I tried calling the number on the voucher for a couple of weeks when I got home from work and when they heard you had a voucher or certificate from a casino they immediately transferred you to the casino marketing department. You would get left on the line and get the message that extremely busy and your call was important and will be answered ASAP. After 1/2 hour or so still no answer and gave up. Finally after a few nights of this went to their web site and found out casino marketing was only open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. E time, M-F. I work from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. most days so hard for me to take the time to call during the day. I did try once to call during the day but transferred and no one answered and after 10 minutes had to go back to work. Finally remembered I may have a card from a Norwegian Casino Marketing rep that seen in Council Bluffs, IA when went there for another Cruise weekend that did not use the certificate. I found a card and left a VM last Saturday for him to call me back. No return call and called and left a 2nd Voice mail on Tuesday. I received a voice mail back Wednesday from another casino marketing rep o Wednesday and returned the call Thursday. I had her email a list of all cruises available for me on the certificate which she did. After being unable to speak with anyone for a couple of weeks most had to be reserved pretty much immediately and most cruise dates available were already expired or getting ready to leave the port. I called her on Friday for the above cruise and she stated all casino rooms I was supposed to get an outside portal room, were already gone as this new boat was getting sold out quickly. She stated looked into outside portal rooms and inside state rooms and no casino rooms available, so I would have to upgrade. She found me a balcony room for $250.00 per person The port fees were $361.71 per person for a total for two of $1,223.42. I really do not like paying this much for a room but appears that the regular price of the room was $1,629.00 per person so probably not a bad deal. Then I still have to get airfare to NY which will probably be about $1,000.00. I kept the contact info for this representative as she was very helpful and I spoke with her on a few occasions so when get another certificate can call her right away before rooms are gone. This new ship looks like a good time and has great shows. I then though I can get airfare to Vegas for about $500.00 and get $500.00 in free play to offset the airfare cost. Rooms, food, and shows are free of course so told my wife we should have just gone there and saved the funds for gambling. I told the Norwegian rep she was taking some of my gambling money so I better have a good time. She made sure to tell me to go to the casino for my free drinks as I already knew as a Harrahs VIP they give you a card for free drinks in the Casino. What I did not know was she said to make sure I use the Casino VIP line to get into the restaurants faster. They did not have this perk on the last cruise I went on which was on the Sun. I will not go on this ship again but since a small ship I went to the casino and got a lot of drinks and took them back to the pool. On my last cruise to the Bahamas I believe the port charges were like a little over $500.00. Hope this was helpful and if someone needs the name and telephone number of the casino marketing rep I used just let me know. She was really nice and I truly believe her when said the reserved casino rooms were already booked and only option was to upgrade. If I paid a total $1,223.42 for 2 instead of $1,6229.00 for 1 so is still a good deal. This boat looks awesome and my cruise will be the 5th 7 day cruise on the new ship. They have a circus O show, les miserable show, rock of ages show, and dueling pianos. This is in addition to the 5 water slides, miniature golf course and other things to do.
The exact port charges and fees for the 6/16/13 cruise on the breakaway to Bermuda for 2 was:

Port fees = $350.00
govt taxes/fees = $373.42
Thank you for your most informative reply. I have to
admit that I don't think that $1223 for 2 people even
if it is a balcony stateroom is even close to being
"free"! Not only that-- you have to add tips to it--or
did the $373/govt taxes/fees include the tips? Thats another $12/per day--approx. . . . I realize it is a new ship but still--Free isn't the word here. . . . .
It would not be free due to the taxes and port fees, and never will be. It cost billions to build and maintain the ports so always will be high fees for these items. You still have to pay $12.00 per person, per day for the tips. The workers work really hard and long hours and the cruise companies do not pay them well without the tip being added.
Thanks for all the replies including the informative ones from styx.

I Did receive the voucher in the mail, and attempted calling several times
during that week. After MANY long Waits on the phone FINALLY able to
talk with a human........only to be told the Only thing left was cruises
that are leaving like NOW.

I don't think so.

This sounds like it was a Mass Mailing, and NOT the type of cruise freebies weve gotten in the past
where you had 6+ months to book & sail.

Chalk this one up to LAME offer.
