Using an expired players club card?

I have a expired CET Platinum card, just missed platinum level last year after several years in that tier. Anyways, I will be in Las Vegas in June and I am thinking about pulling out the expired platinum card and using the VIP platinum check in to try to get to our room early as we are arriving about 7:30 AM. In the past I have always got to check in early when I was platinum, but would have to wait when I was Gold, which I have dropped back to.

Has anyone tried this before, using an expired players club card? How often does it work and what happens if the catch that is expired?
I would imagine that they can see that it is expired in the computer when the look up your reservation. In addition, they have new cards now. You can try though...what's the worst they will tell you? That you have to wait to check in......
Just go to the Plat line, but don't show your card. Like jenner said.........they can always look you
up if they wanted to. But you don't need to show your card for checkin, so just don't show it.
Thanks, yeah I guess the worst they can do is send me to the back of line.

I have seen them do just that. They told a guy he had to go to regular check-in since he wasn't Diamond. The Diamond check-in wasn't crowded, either.

But, no harm in trying.
I was in Harrahs AC last month and a man who had been Diamond for many years but did not re-qualify tried to check in at the empty Diamond counter rather than stand in the long Gold line. Not only did the reservations person tell him to get in the other line, the supervisor was called over and a loud discussion ensued. Needless to say, he was not accomodated at the Diamond counter.
