Vegas Resort Fees

I am Platinum. In the past a reservation made in Vegas carried the notation that the resort fee was waived. I made a reservation today at the Rio for January 2014 and the resort fee waiver notation was not included. Does anyone have any info on the possibility that CET has eliminated the resort fee waiver for Platinum members? I need to know because next Wednesday I plan on going to Horseshoe SI to play myself up to Platinum for 2014. If the resort fee is no longer waived for Platinum the designation is almost useless to me and I will cancel my next Wednesday trip to SI. I have emailed that question to CET but member feedback is more reliable that CET info.
As a Platinum, I have a resevation at the Rio, end of January. The email I got back said resort fee waived.
My previous one also said that but today I noticed that the rate for the one night I am paying for (Friday Jan 24) dropped by $20 so I cancelled and then rebooked. It is the rebook I am talking about that did not indicate that the resort fee was waived.
CET feedback indicated that Platinum and above still do not pay resort fees unless the wifi or use of the workout room was desired. I would run around the Rio before I would pay $20 a night to use the workout room and my iPad is hooked to the 4G network so no wifi needed.
