venetian / Palazzo to end free parking policy by summer's end

One of the very few Strip properties that have offered free self parking priveleges has ended that perk. I don't know how convenient / inconvenient the logistics of being able to access the Venetian / Palazzo garage are currently anyway with all the F1 road prep going on. No specific date was offered..just "by the end of summer". Like so many other Vegas 'things' of the past, this shouldn't surprise anybody. Premier tier and higher members will still get the perk, FWIW.

It actually was one of the most convenient ways to access the Strip, especially if you entered the garage via the rear entrance. AND, for those who want it, they were the first garage to offer free EV charging stations.

I had two, count 'em, two actual. real, genuine reasons to go there: the poker room and the Grand Lux Cafe. But me no pay for parking. Anywhere. Ever. So...

Dammit, Kevin..you're such a tightwad. As most of us do, I despise paying for parking as well ( I don't recall the last time I paid to park in Vegas..maybe never). Now Wynn and TI will likely be getting the free parking freeloader overflow in that section of the Strip. The onset of that Sphere location might have had some influence on their decision as well (beyond plain ol corporate sin mentality).  I'll second the Grand Lux ..lots of decent and tasty options with good portions at fairly tolerable prices, including their facsimile of a breakfast grab and go .'boofay'.
