What are the benefits of using your TR card at the sportsbook?

On my last trip my friend suggested that I always show my Total Rewards card when placing bets at any CET sports-book. I cant find anything on their Website that shows any benefit for doing this (which I did do). Tell me what , if any, is the benefit please?

Depending on the amount bet, you can get "free" drink tickets. You can also earn reward credits, but how many is very vague. I was told by a handicapper (horses), that betting the ponies is more lucrative for TR credits. he's a Diamond, so it must be true.

Your tickets will also be linked to you card so if you happen to lose them there is a record.

Last year I sent in some MM winning tickets (not as many as I would have liked to send....but, I digress....). I never mail them certified anymore because I've never had an issue. So after a month or so I emailed Harrah's to check on the payment, see whether I should mail them copies, etc. Without any more info than my name and email address, they told me the amount of the check and the date it was sent.

Kinda scary, in one way....but I think this doesn't happen (at least not as quickly) if I hadn't provided my Harrah's card when I made the bets.
