What would make you take 5 comped days at Ballys over Planet Hollywood?

The amenity bottles are the same as the ones used at Bally, my local Harrahs, Laughlin and I think Paris. Product is from Gilchrist & Soames and the label says Pleasure Shampoo, etc, on one side and Planet Hollywood on the other.

Had I not just stayed in a resort room with this nice view, I'd say, stay at Bally's. Prior to my stay, I had the same concerns as everyone who has posted on this thread and almost changed my reservation to Paris.

I like FFlowers suggestion of staying a few nights at each.

Edited to add: in the room, my cell worked best when I sat on the bed. By the window, I could hear perfectly and people said I had a squeaky voice. Basically, I got to email my comments on a work related conference call.

I had to do the same as you in the room Miss but in the casino it never works.

So if the room is important, stay at PHO. Or if like us, you like to do most of your gambling where you are staying, I'd choose Ballys. Are you a comped CET player? If so, consider Paris.

Yes, Yo, I'm a comped CET player. i have offers for any CET property for 5 days in August (including weekends, other than Ceasars (gotta pay for the weekend).

Good idea lil sis (with regards to Kim booking the 2 days of friends and family). I'm a lazy slug when it comes to moving. I'm wondering if Profs $20 (no $40) dollar trick works for me, for a resort room upgrade.?

Ive never stayed or seen a PHO room, so all of these reports of the dark rooms with the comfy beds, are peaking my curiosity! BTW... whats with the "Dark rooms"? Not enough lights???

Oddly enough the reviews of PHO spa (Mandera) leave a lot to be desired. I do love a good fitness center and spa. Dont expect the Qua or GVR spa but looking for the best bang for the buck. I did notice that Ballys spa/fitness combo is $14 less for the 3 day pass/$25 less for the 5 day pass, than PHO or Paris.

My girl, Kim, just walked in the room while I'm replying and said she wants to switch to Paris

Lisa ... FYI my girl just said that she would never take a bath in a hotel bathtub, but she does like large bathrooms!!
If you're just using the spa facilities without getting a treatment, I recommend Bally's over Paris. I used a travelzoo voucher at Paris (Mandera) My treatment was excellent yet I felt the facilities were dated. I was told one could only charge spa fees to their room at Paris not the other properties. I'm pretty sure you can use points at Bally's spa.

The room I had at PHo was light, bright and had a comfy bed. It also had a separate walk in shower.

Lisa...u r the best! Any members meets coming in August???
Champ, pm me your dates. Depending on my schedule, maybe I could come up for a night or two.
All this talk about Pho is making me hungry for Vietnamese food.
I just booked PH today instead of Ballys or Paris - all three were comped.

I like PH due to ease of getting around (except for self-parking, use valet!) and the attached mall with some affordable shops in it for items you forgot or run out of. Plus it is newer and I like the soaking bathtubs.

Some folks do not like the younger crowd at PH (I am in my early 60s), but I generally stay Sat-Tues and it really has not been an issue. Maybe a bit noisy on Sat night, but by the time they come out I am turning in (from a day of traveling).

We used to stay alot at Caesars - mostly Palace Tower - but I switched due to the excessive walking involved at Caesars. At PH, you have good access to a number of other casinos.
I liked the Room at PHo, and the proximity to Harmon/CityCenter/ Aria & Cosmo.
This worked out well, cuz when I ran out of things I wanted to play in PHo casino, I LEFT.

I think PHo casino is one of the worst for vp players. Probably the shortest amount of time I've
spent in any CE casino, next to Rio & Flamingo.

I just gave up on PHo Casino!.
Enjoyed the room.........I used Valet for the rental car (after figuring out self pkg is mile away
down the long shops hall.........) and only went from Valet......... to the elevators ...........to the room.
Thats It.
Never had to venture to the 2nd floor for the casino, ever again.
I never do that!
But at PHo? Its either the take the room & play elsewhere.........or I wouldn't stay there.
The Video Poker is about the same as the other Caesars casinos, except for Paris which is the worst of the bunch. We play Bonus VP - quarters - and it is 7/5. Can't find 8/5 Bonus on the Strip anymore, so that is as good as it gets for us.

Like Tahoe better - 8/5 Bonus there.
