MGM. They are the leaders in chafging way too much (resort fees, parking, etc.) for way too little. And I'll never forgive them for moving thier nice poker room! :)
Haven't been to an MGM property since the parking fees (and I am local). The changes at Boyd's definitely pushed us to Stations more often than not.
Silverton treats me right, decent VP, free rooms, decent blackjack.
I think the big benefits of the Silverton must be their mailer and bounce-back program for locals. From the inventory list at VPfree2 I don't see any good videopoker. Even with the 0.30% return from the club it's far from being a good place to play. Not so sure about any potential multiplier days, but without that it would be not good enough. Station Casinos is definetely the place to play now. Especially on Wednesdays, when your points are worth twice, on top of the 5x or 6x mjltiplier. Which makes it basically a 12x comp points day :)
Greetings
I think the places I go to less are also the Boyd Properties. Aside from using a MRB coupon and going in to keep my points alive I would say their loyalty program took the biggest hit for loyal members. I used to get free rooms, no more ....so I do not stay there anymore. I would rather get an inexpensive room on the strip than an inexpensive room at Boyds's now. It never used to be like that for me.
The stock dropped from high 20s to low 20s in the past few months but so did a lot of other stocks, but it was going down before the entire market did.

Hi David
Do you think a 5,000 to 8000 dollar coin-in on 99+% videopoker would qualify for a free room at Silverton?
Best regards from Switzerland
Boris
Boris - I am not sure if the Silverton has any 99+ video poker games. They have dollar video poker in their high limit room where I have had success and they have good rules blackjack. My latest comp offers have been for up to 5 free comp nights (anytime, weekends included, over a 3 month span) with some free play and free buffet and restaurant fare. But then again, I have been going there for 10 plus years. If you like nice rooms with very comfortable beds, laid back atmosphere, friendly employees and a good buffet, then you might like the place. Also it is close to the rental car location and makes returning to the airport a quick trip. This may have come as a commercial - it isn't. I am just stating the facts as I know them to be.
Vantzy, Boyd used to send me mailers and online offers for free rooms, but in early 2018 the mailer offers started becoming useless - almost rack rate. However, if I logged into their site and checked rates under all the various online offers, the basic cardholder's rate ("Special Discounts & Exclusive Room Offers for Ruby Members") would sometimes show me comped weeknights almost anytime I wanted. This seems to come and go - they don't notify me about it, I have to get in the site and manually check each hotel and each date of interest. I don't know if all cardholders see this, or if the magic computer has rated me personally worthy of it. Or if it's a huge glitch in their system somehow.
This makes absolutely no sense - that they'll give me free rooms but don't proactively tell me??? But that's what I've been seeing. To my total surprise, I'm still seeing it now in 2019. You might want to look for yourself.
I like their BJ rules, and I no longer care about VP and point-based rewards, so I have no problem with staying in their hotels for little or nothing.
I havent completely stopped but I try really hard to avoid the casinos that charge for parking which is almost impossible nowadays, Im not a tightwad its just the idea of it that rubs me the wrong way!
