Which would you choose?

I'm looking at the following options for a 3-night pre-Thankksgiving stay. Please tell me which you would choose and why

TI @ $63/night with two free buffets

Monte Carlo @ $53/night with $55 dining credit

Palms @ $50/night with daily free breakfast

Fremont or The Cal @ $39/night
The Cal- no ripoff resort fee, good video poker and an always pleasant atmosphere. It is a good location for staying and seeing downtown. Take the ripoff resort fees and rent a car, then you can visit the other properties you mentioned. Plus, without a lot of play the Cal will send you free room offers.

Well, what are you looking for?

But otherwise, I'd say that Cal has better Video Poker than most of them except maybe Palms. But Palms I'm sure also has a "Resort Fee" which wouldn't make the room be $50 per night. And how much is this food really worth to factor into all of this?

To followup-

I am the rare Vegas traveller who goes more for the scene than the actual gambling. I consider it a challenge to score the best deals and part of that is the usual room negotiations tactics

I realize the resort fees tack on tremendously to the published rates and view the dining credits as a refund of said onerous fees

I will be staying at Mandalay Bay Friday night and at next door at Lux on Sat night courtesy of MyVegas. Could tack on Sunday night as a freebie too if I go the way of Monte Carlo

Well then, with this criteria, room deal price alone would give it to Fremont or Cal. I then think that since you say that you are looking for the scene, Fremont is basically in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience -- Cal is on Main Street across the street and connected to Main Street Station.

But what kind of "scene" are you looking to be around?

But I also think that food prices on the Strip can get bad (high) as well and so I think that more reasonable food prices can be found Downtown than on or around the Strip.

And so if you are looking for bargains, then I think that Downtown LV is a better location for you.

But if your question has to do with only being at the new location for one night only and if the food credit that you mention at Monte Carlo can be used entirely for the one night stay (and there are no further restrictions on that credit -- such as for example that it could need to be usable only with a two night minimum stay), then it may be that Monte Carlo would end up costing you the least (but do compare the price at Cal/Fremont Plus Tax -- which I don't know how much room tax is to the Monte Carlo price plus tax plus resort fee minus the $55 food comp in order to know which would cost you less $).
