Will the Quads rooms and/or elevators ever get a facelift?

I have read nothing but glowing reports about how the casino and front desk at the Quad has been greatly improved. I have heard nothing that would indicate anything is happening to the rooms and/or the elevators (labeled "worse/slowest elevators on the strip" by many).

Making my plans for my August return to the "land of fun" and my Quad offers are the best in the C.E.T system. Maybe I'm the only 1 who hasn't heard the good news about their rooms, and if so then I apologize, but I sure would like to hear some good news now ( if such a thing exists).

And maybe they will be fixing that horrible buffet while they are at it also???
It would be a waste to spend all that time and money on the exterior and not put at least a little effort into the rooms.
Conversations last week with employees who had attended update briefings were that nothing would be done on anything but casino thru the fall.

Agreed.

needs more than a facelift. once before, after a stay i wrote, would rather sleep in the car
It's a shame they aren't updating the rooms. We were just at Harrahs and walked through The Quad several times. I like the improvements I saw in the casino. I never stayed at IP, but from the comments I've read I won't consider it at all.
Some of the rooms have been updated but the front desk told me that it would be I think Nov before they did a MAJOR update on the rooms. I had a comped room with 50 reel rewards and my room was lovely. In fact it was bigger and some better amenities than Harrahs next door.

The elevators were ugly and beat up but they did move rapidly, so that situation seems improved. The front check in for Daim/Plat was great a big improvement .
I am sure hoping that they will start updating soon. We have a big party for a 21st bday and thinking of putting some of them there. We had a blast on the gaming floor by the dealertainers last month and ready to give it another try sometime in the future
I wonder how much they'll be charging for the rooms once they updated the rooms and that Guy Fieri restaurant that's going in before the end of the year.
The only time that we stayed there we had a jacuzzi room that smelt of mold. The elevator always seemed to be full when it stopped at out floor - Ist daay it took us 15 minutes to get down to the casino. It would take a lot of work and reassurances to get us back there.
