Advantage Car Rental

I just used them in Vegas Jan 29 thru Feb 3d. Total price for a midsized for the stay was $95. I realize this contradicts my previous post but I could not pass up that rate. There was no line when I arrived. The check-in people were professional. I headed off any add on talk by stating that my MC would cover their car including loss of use and my auto policy would cover my liability. I went to my assigned vehicle and was out of there in five minutes. Return of the vehicle was quick and uneventful. The price was as quoted. I have rebooked my reservation from Mar 20 thru Apr 2 for $365. This is much lower than anyone except FOX which is down LV Blvd from the facility. This is an expensive period due to Spring Break and the NCAA BB tournament. Unless Hotwire comes up with something much better I will again use Advantage. Advantage has a 10% off promo using PC DC31133 through March 31st. My only complaint was that Advantage charged my card $295 rather then placing a hold on $295. They then refunded the $200 the day after I returned home. That is a strange way to handle the standard hold.

Just thought I'd let you know about my recent rental car experience. I did the rental through rental car.com as did you for $46 per week. Sounded like a great deal. Right. Well, not so good. When I got to the Advantage rental in Vegas there was a long line of people. They only had 2 stations open. I waited in line for 1.5 hours. When I finally got to the counter I now know what the long wait was for. They would not honor the rental agreement that I made online. I spoke with the site manager, the district manager, to no avail. They would honor the rate. I was told it was booked through priceline and that priceline was not one of their booking partners. YIKES!!!!! The best they would do for a 6 day rental for me was $168. So beware , I called rental.com when I got home, and the apologized but it was beyond their control. I would I would suggest that you check with them so you and others won't be left with sticker shock. I wish you better luck than I and many others had that day. Now exactly the best way to start my Vegas trip. Gambling was kinder to me.

My experience this week, very similar to fingerstim.

No issue with Advantage. In and out in 5 mins.
No line at counter, (however we DID have a WAIT return on the rental Shuttle bus
as it needed to FILL Again, grrrrrrrr)

I booked my Car rez. on SW site, and didn't use Priceline etc. My rate was $68 total for 3 days,
and like fingerstim said........they Charge you your fee, Plus $200 hold AT counter, then Credit
you back day after you return.

Most co's HOLD or Pending that amount........Not charge ahead. Weird, but glad credited
back without issue.
