Airline prices just keep increasing

Last evening I checked on two flights from PIT to LAS for these dates. July 12/19---Nov 1/8 they were both priced as follows USAIR $280 per person. This morning I chekced the same two flights and they were priced July $486 PP and Nov. $460 PP. These prices are noted that they do not include fees (taxes) and baggage charges. I know prices have increased but where does it stop. Just heard USAIR raised has prices 6 times this year already compared to only 3 times all of last year. They said people just keep buying tickets and will conitue to raise prices. We have already booked for May and September but will look other places for the other two dates if prices do not decrease. The July flight would be $1000 no way. There has to been less flights today than 3 or 4 years ago. My question is have they cut back on maintaining planes and just stored extra planes places somwhere out of the way. Will the increased prices cut your travel plans down?
With the "speculators and hedge fund managers" now controlling 75% of the oil futures it will just keep going up! All they needed was "unrest" somewhere in the world and the Middle East again obliged!

Now talking $5 gas possible by Memorial day! IF that happens airline tixs will be up another 40%

It sucks but what do you do?

Work hard to shift the world from relying so heavily on fossil fuels to meet our energy demands. That's what I do.
The increased prices will definitely change my travel plans.I like driving to Vegas so the rising gas prices will make that a lot more difficult plus rising oil prices will make flying a lot tougher. Will have to cut back on my Vegas trips.

Everyone thought I was crazy in January when I went ahead and booked our trip with USAIRWays Vacations for next November. It has nearly doubled since.

Well, bully for you. So how did you get to Vegas for your recent trip? Walk? I'm sure you neither flew nor drove.
No need to feel so helpless.

There are many concrete, positive changes we can all make to effect policies that'll make jet fuel less expensive.

There's simply too much demand for fossil fuels. We can change that, in ways that'll increase our standard of living.

Just takes some effort.
Have you named one yet?
He hasn't even said if he walked to Vegas, LOL.
Drill,drill,drill!!
