Usually the companies on the street have 3 vehicles waiting - one for South Strip, one for Center Strip and one for Downtown. But as Chilcoot says, there is no guarantee. During busy times you may get a direct downtown shuttle, but when it's slow, they may combine drop off points to fill a vehicle before leaving the curb. Anytime you book a shuttle, I suggest a one-way only as the return is always very iffy. You can always pay cash to any companies shuttle driver on the return trip and then just take the first shuttle that stops by.
