Airport Shuttles - Any personal experience?

I have the list of Airport Shuttle companies from A2Z Las Vegas. Has anyone ever used one? I'm going to a Strip hotel on a Wednesday night around 10-11 PM. Since I'm solo, I'm trying to be frugal and not spend the $20 each way to and from the airport. How are the shuttles going back to the Airport for the flight home? I'm afraid of waiting long amounts of time for a shuttle that may or may not show up.

Does anyone have any experience?
Hello,

Last trip I used ODS and was quite impressed with the return service to the airport from the GN. They were actually a few minutes early and it was a quick 15-20 minute trip to the airport. From the airport it will be more time consuming. Refering to my aforementioned trip it was about 50 minutes downtown and was about 3 hours earlier then your arrival. Nevertheless it shouldn't be that bad

On the return trip you will be advised to be wait outside of your hotel about 15 minutes prior to your scheduled chariot ride

Have fun!

T.
We've always used one of the shuttle services to get to our hotel from the airport and then back to the airport when leaving. Never had a problem. Not too long of a wait or ride.
It depends mainly on where you stay and where that property falls in the route. We used a shuttle to get to/from Rio on one trip and we were on the shuttle for 45 minutes from the airport, granted only 10 minutes to the airport. We did not have to wait long either way when we stayed at Excalibur (though we'll never stay there again.)
A shuttle is cheaper than a taxi but only WORTH it if the money you save is worth more than the time spent waiting and the time stressed away worrying if your shuttle will be on time. (Most are, but if you're a worrier, this is of little comfort.) Take a taxi if you don't want to wait and you'd be stressed that you're running late, at that point it's worth the extra money spent.

I take shuttles when I stay on the strip and my experience has been quite good. I purposely don't buy a return ticket if I'm staying on the strip since the shuttles come by so frequently, I then have the flexibility to take whichever one is first. The only time I had a long ride, was when I used one to stay downtown. Now I just rent a car if I want to stay downtown and travel elsewhere.
The one time I didn't rent a car in Vegas (because I was meeting someone who had rented one already) I used Las Vegas Livery to shuttle to the strip property where he had a timeshare. I think it cost me $5 plus a buck for a tip. Worked fine. I'd use again. You buy a token at a booth, outside the baggage claim at the far end.
Love Bell Trans, Las Vegas Limo , no problems and you get to see other hotels along the way -- never used them to go back. Too iffy . Always take a cab back to the Airport. Interesting to see what people stay where.....Drivers give out info and latest news.
Hi all!

Since we will be staying at the Las Vegas Hilton, is it worth it for us to take a shuttle, or are those mostly for the strip casinos? And I really really hope the monorail is running by the time we get there (April 26th) because I would hate to contantly have to take cabs everywhere!!

We stay off strip and always use the shuttle. We have never experienced a long wait, and as someone else said, you get to see the strip and other hotels along the way. Keep in mind that there most likely will be other stops along the way. Once on the shuttle, the driver will ask all the travelers what property they are staying at and then make his route from the responses. We like the shuttle! Have a great vacation.

The only thing that we don't like about return shuttle rides to the airport is the fact that they usually want to pick you up about 3 hours before your flight.................We still use the shuttle though.
Avoid the uncertainty and inconvenience - rent a car.
