We almost always take the WAX--the only issue with it for us is the timing. Depending on the time of day, it may only run once an hour or so. If we just miss it, we have taken the 109 or 108 North to the Bonneville station and walk the 4-5 blocks to Fremont. Depends how we feel about sitting at McCarran or sitting on the local.
Car. It's the easiest way to go.
Uber is easy, convenient and cost around $18 when we were last there in April
Cab/Uber will get you there the fastest (or a rental car)....WAX will be cheaper but you have to abide by their schedules. I always have a rental car so I can chase down my coupons
Airline Shuttle has nonstop to downtown about 18 round trip. I believe it is gate 7 at old terminal
I have gotten into the habit of grabbing a shuttle. They are under 10 bucks (one way) and right outside the baggage claim doors.
I was just in Las Vegas and staying downtown. i decided to take the shuttle I beleive they are down to only three shuttle shuttle companies. I used Super Shuttle $11 one way downtown. I was considering renting a car later so only bought one way. They use regular size vans so less passangers per trip. There is also an app that you can download to your phone so you can see where the driver is. I had to wait about 15 minutes for the shuttle bus to arrive to take me to downtown at the airport. All stops were at Downtown.
On the return trip I called the night before to set up a pick up at the Cal downtown, was told cost was $10 and was told they have a special deal with Boyd. Time was for 1P.M. on Thrusday. Was delayed cashing out some ponts so got to the pick up right at 1P.M. Shuttle was there picking up passangers. Was told by the driver that he would have waited a while if I was late. Pick up is every hour at the Cal.
I would endorse Shupper Shuttle if you are taking a shuttle.
