Alamo mistake ???

Looks like someone at Alamo may have made a mistake in their car selection screen. I was double checking my end of Feb. rental using ID 7015309 and CC code AD2739NNF, and a strange thing popped up on the car selection screen. They are listing some more expensive cars first, instead of the ecomomy and compact being at the top of the page. Right now you can rent a mid-size SUV or a convertible a whole lot cheaper that an economy car.

I don't know how long this will last, but you can you can get a wonderful deal on a larger car verses a smaller car

That happened on a reservation I made last week.... I have a midsize suv booked b/c it was cheaper than the economy! My trip is still too far out though-I am hoping to find lower prices...

Ditto. Just booked a mid SUV for end of April which was cheaper than economy. Go figure. Costco has some good codes that dont require Sat. night which is exactly what I needed.

this is happening on the Dollar website too. Premium car and mid suv are cheaper than lesser cars.

Prob because smaller cars get better gas mileage, and the bigger cars will cost you more in gas.

Yes, there is more of a demand for economy & compact cars now. That inventory is getting used and larger models are sitting in the rental lots. Supply & demand.

I just checked this out and noticed that while the premium and SUV are originally less expensive, they don't have the fine print under the price that says they qualify for the coupon code. The compact and economy do and that lowers their cost on the next page.

It is strange, the last week of Feb., I got a convertible for less than a compact from Alamo. Keep rechecking and it is starting to equalize but at a higher price.
