Alamo - Standard vs. Fullsize

Just curious if anyone has recent experience with Alamo rentals at LAS and what differences in car choice exist between Standard and Fullsize. I've always rented Fullsize in the past and seem to recall that both of these classes are in the same "row" to select from - is this correct?

Alamo has been quoting some extremely low rates recently for Standard class in early September and was just curious if I'd still be selecting from the same cars as the much higher Fullsize rate or not. Also interested in what makes/models are in Standard class at LAS if they are truly different.

Thanks,

Jimbo

Just a tip.. the last 4 trips to Vegas they were out of all compact cars. I was upgraded right away. The best thing to do is rent a compact and wait until some people take the last of the compacts and then you will be able to upgrade.

Just my 2 cents..
Thanks for the tip. Actually, the rate I snagged a couple of evenings ago for a Standard is less than I've even seen Compacts or Economys lately. It was good to be in the right place at the right time!

Last 2 times I've gone with Alamo the Stds & FZ have been in the same row and he told me just to pick one out of the row. Went FZ both times.

The rate dropped again earlier today to make it extremely cheap for my dates - total of $175 including taxes/fees for a 10 day rental of a standard class. What type of car is in this class at LAS if I don't get the choice of fullsize? Website says Ford Fusion but if anyone has experience with this I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks,

Jimbo
