Alamo update

After reading another blog in this listing, I tried this trick on my trip last week to Vegas. I booked the cheapest car available, a compact. Went to garage and the attendant pointed me to a row and said "take anything you want in that row". That row had 4 car sizes in it....he even helped me find one that had satellite radio so I tipped him. Ended up with a nice, new midsize for about $80 for 5 days.....was a good deal, for sure.

That was at Alamo......don't know how flexible the other companies are outside in the garage.

This trick works sometimes.I tried it once with,I believe it was Enterprise,and ran into an "honest" arrendant.Refused me an upgrade even after I offered him the $20 trick,which he also refused.

Good to hear that the update is that everything's about the same at Alamo. Great news for me when I go in just over two weeks...

BTW Enterprise gave me both on last 2 visits. 1st $20 got me a Mercedes. 2nd refuse tip and would not even get me the car I paid for.
