Just got a great price on Alamo weekly rental Contract ID 7015309 Coupon AD8221SDF

Brought my rental price down significantly. (From Costco Travel codes). Apparently good thru 12-30-12

Your contract id gives 10% off. You should be able to a little better (by a few $) if you use contract id 7014291 (15% off) but MUST use an AMEX credit card!

Actually mine was this "Alamo Rent A Car - Alamo Rent A Car: Save Up To 25% and an Additional $30 Off a Weekly Rental"
My 9 day rental Midsize before taxes was $55.28 for the week ,$15.78 ($7.89 a day) for the two extra days minus $30 coupon for a total of $41.06 plus taxes for the car. I checked today and it went up some but not a lot.

I agree with all these posts.....try a bunch of different codes for best rate. ....

don't go to counter.....Just use the Alamo kiosk, it's very easy. Even the couple of times when I've had to go to counter in the past, they never asked for a Costco card. I've been told on the phone that these codes are also honored with a Sam's card, but I've never had to cross that bridge.

FYI .....a lot of the best money-saving codes require a Saturday night stay.

I just booked a fullsize with Alamo for Feb 4 thru Feb 8 for $77 total.

What I normally do is go to www.carrentals.com and put in my dates and times. Usually, Fox, Advantage and Payless are the cheapest at the top of the list. But, there are very few codes that will help with those three companies. When Alamo starts appearing near the top, that's when I start using whatever codes I can find.

This saves me a few dollars on an upcoming rental as well - can you share the source for this coupon? As usual, when you put in this information on the Alamo site, it says you may be asked for the coupon. It always says this, and I've never had to show it before, but there is always a first time and I'd rather be safe than sorry!

I was wondering the same thing...I got a decent rate when I put this in but I always like to know where the coupon is from 'just in case'!

I did a search found out that the coupon code came from carrentalsavers.com . It says you do not have to have the coupon to use it. There is a lot of good codes on there. It also says that to use the Costco ID # that you have to have a Costco membership. I don't have one, but I have Sam's club. Does anyone know of any Sam's club ID #'s? They used to be floating around.

I haven't had a Costco membership for years although I do still have a card. I have used Costco codes to rent Alamo cars for at least 5 years and have never been asked to show the membership card.

The great thing about the Costco code is that it gives you a free extra driver. This saves us a bunch!

I wouldn't hestitate to use the Costco code even though you don't have a membership.

I have never had to show a costco or a sams club card anytime I've checked in. I have used these codes for the last few years now. I used to use the AMEX code and never had to use the AMEX card when paying for the car either.
