Another Pleasant Surprise from SWA

I finally booked my last free ticket from SWA for a January trip (had 9 to use this year). But I still had 10 credits toward another free ticket, expiring in April. So I finally cashed in a few points to make it another freebe, thinking I would use it in March. Surprise, surprise...the ticket is good for another year from the date I cashed in the points. I'm setting it aside for an emergency trip since it seems the seats are now widely available since most have used their free tickets.

Had 2 $200 vouchers from a delayed trip last Easter (one for my wife and one for me). I was able to use both on my ticket for a flight to LV in March (wife has a companion pass). Had anticipated only being able to use mine...yea SWA! I'm going to have to take advantage of some of those oversold flights and get some more vouchers!

Whoo-hoo for you Capt Bill. I wish I could get more bump vouchers. We were on a run with them a couple of years ago, but our flights have been just a couple people shy of being overbooked recently. Serveral have been complaining about SW, but gotta love the ease of rebooking (just rebooked and saved $90), zero fees for baggage and best of all--on time percentage.

I seem to get a chance for a bump only about once a year. wahhhh

The one-time conversion of points to a free trip under the old system can be done at any time before the points expire. Once the points are converted, the trip must be used within a year.

Which are the best days and time of day to get bumped?
I always thought it was on Sunday evening but I have learned from others that there are other days and times when they are over booked.
