Any ongoing road work or traffic congestion on strip this weekend?

Thought I had seen a post about road work at south end of strip with alternate routes suggested. I tried search, but couldn't locate that post.

Friend going to LV after a 10 year hiatus from LV. He's going to be amazed at the traffic. I just wanted to forewarn him and suggest a few alternate streets for him to reach the Stratosphere. He is coming from Los Angeles.

If hes driving into town? It easiest to stay on 15 & get in the express lane (left lane) and takes
you to Sahara. Exit on Sahara to LV Blvd. Can't miss seeing the Strat.

There is repaving going on for the entire length of I-15 from Russell to the Spaghetti Bowl (Downtown) but it is only done from Sunday at 7:00 PM through Thursday so if he is coming in on the weekend, I-15 should not be a problem. If he does run into a slowdown on I-15 entering the city, he can take the Russell exit to Frank Sinatra to Industrial. If you take industrial past the Sahara ramp and make a right on Boston, it takes you around the back of Stratosphere to the parking garage. This is the route I always take to the Stratosphere except from the airport when I take Paradise to St Louis.

There is currently street construction all over town including Paradise between Tropicana and Sands, Industrial in the area behind the Fashion Show Mall, Koval behind the Venetian, etc. but most of that construction is being done at night.
