I claim to be Vegas savvy, yet my trips back to the airport are ALWAY 4 or 5 dollars less too.

There is an airport fee charged to both taxis and limos when leaving Maccarran. This is a fee imposed by the airport so it is added to the bill. Limo rates from the airport are $5 higher than limo rates to the airport due to this airport fee.

Well, after that long walk I took from MGM to Cosmo due to that valet kid telling me
it was a block away and I did not need my rental, I took a cab back.

The lady cabbie was a straight shooter so my tip was double the meter which
I think was around $7.50.

See? Honesty does pay.

Isn't every Vegas block....................a mile? lol Its' gotta be!

I've been tunneled, I've had it all. One lady cabbie went the wrong way, missed the exit,
and I ended up tipping her on top of it because I felt sorry for her. Tourist or Sap? lol

The Russian cabbie who scared me, I reported. The big burly cabbie who talked on his
cell the whole time while running lights? Reported him too.

Most cabbies I don't remember, but, I've had a couple honest ones that I do remember......

Nowadays, I avoid cabss whenever possible. I'm much happier bitching about Rental cars. lol

I think that's why I always rent a car. Oh and the MGM valet is about as far from the strip as the Cosmo lol. That MGM is one big place.
