Auto Slash Car Rental Reservation

Hi Everyone!

Our Christmas car rental (12/24 to 12/30) has been high since we first booked our trip. The cheapest we had gotten was $314 for a Compact thru Enterprise. I signed up on Auto Slash to keep checking rates. This morning they emailed me and said there was a sale price on Hertz for $179 for a compact. I went to Hertz's website and it still showed high (around $550). I went back to Auto Slash and booked it thru them for $193 for a Full Size Car. No payment necessary, you pay at the counter.

My question, is has anyone made a reservation thru them and did you have any issues with the rental? I am thinking of keeping my $314 Enterprise rental as a back up just in case.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
i booked something with them once before, but i ended up finding something else cheaper. and they never emailed be about the price drop. but i am glad it worked out for you.
Does the $193
include all the fees and taxes?
Yes the $193 was with the taxes and fees. When I first saw it I thought maybe it didn't, but the actual rate was just over $100 and then the taxes and fees ended up making it $193.

I googled problem with Auto Slash Car Rentals to see if I could find any reviews, and I only found one review but it was from about 4 years ago.

I just hope it works out.

Let us know how it goes. I am always looking for ways to rent cars at a more reasonable rate.
Will do!
I got a car in Florida last year through autoslash. I made my original reservation six months ahead, so I already had a very good rate (something like $150 total for five days). After hearing about AutoSlash on a podcast, I signed up and entered my reservation. About a month before I left, they found a rate of like $100 for a bigger car. Worked out great for us. Good luck!
MattBob77, Do you remember which company was your rental thru? Mine is thru Hertz.
Sorry, I don't remember the company I originally booked with. But I think the car we ended up getting was from Budget.
Thanks Matt.

We just returned and our rental went thru well (so far). They didn't try to charge us more. (I was worried about that happening since we got it so unusually cheap compared to the other rates that were available during that week.) SEE BELOW FOR MORE UPDATES

I wasn't impressed with Hertz. We usually use Alamo and have never had a problem with them. Hertz wasn't very user friendly (we usually use the kiosk at Alamo and Hertz doesn't really have a self serve kiosk, you have to pick up a phone and video chat with someone to use them). We tried the Kiosk first and they said they couldn't honor the rate I had, We went to the counter and they honored it. I will say the person on the video kiosk said that the counter may have a way to approve it. Also, Hertz won't allow your spouse to be an authorized driver, even when we showed him the paper with the Nevada statute that says a spouse is automatically considered an authorized driver they said that my husband was prohibited from driving the car. Alamo will tell you that your husband is automatically an authorized driver due to the statute.

I have signed up again to have Autoslash keep an eye out for cheap rates on our April trip.
