Auto Slash Car Rental Reservation

Just tried Autoslash. I only gave me SIXT car rates ( $194.00 plus fees, $287.00) which were higher than my current rental from Dollar ($152 plus fess, $208), for 3/16-3/23! I will keep checking though!

Champster, put your email in for them to notify you of other low prices. I get an email every few weeks with prices for probably 10-12 places. That is how I found the really cheap one for our Christmas trip!

When you get the email if you find a cheap one, jump on it quickly!

I am arriving in vegas for 6 nights on march 30th. I still have not found a good car rental rate, I am getting a bit worried. I wont do business with scary ones such as sixt or payless. I prefer thrifty, budget, Alamo or dollar.

Funny thing is happening with Dollar and others. Ordinarily I can find a lower rate if i type in the next day, i.e. type in March 2nd -9th when I'm really traveling 3/16-23, just to get an idea of possible last mi deals. No such luck this go around. 3/2-9 is 243 plus taxes and fees. 3/16-23 is 250 plus taxes and fees. usually 3/2 would be at least 30% less than my dates. No wiggling right now on any of the sights. Since I'm going during march madness I'm thinking that maybe car rental companies are waiting for that mass rush for cars. Still doesn't explain why rates for tomorrow are the same as in 2 weeks. That's rare. Stay tuned. And I gave Auto slash my email. Hoping that they find something nice from 1 of the McCarren car rental places. I don't want to go to a 2nd car lot!

I tried samsclub.com, no bargains there either. I don't have a Costco membership. this might be the first time in many trips that I don't rent a car, I may uber a few times, use a city bus, or take a free shuttle.

Another thing you could do at the last minute is to try Priceline to name your own price. Although I will say I tried that for our Christmas Trip and that wasn't much cheaper than booking directly with the places.

We have two upcoming trips (One for a week in April for the Final Four weekend and One for a week in late July for the National Sweepstakes convention) Every time I search for our late July trip it keeps saying there is a high volume expected during that July week. (Our convention is only 700 people) Not sure what else is going on that week!

So far we have a rate of $212 for April for a mid size SUV (I am happy with that for that nice of a car) and $253 for July for a mid size SUV. (I will keep checking for other cars and prices for July for sure - We just don't want a tiny car for the Convention)

I put my dates in for AutoSlash again and have been getting periodic updates but nothing super cheap yet. I also prefer to stick with Alamo, National, Enterprise, Budget or Avis.

I found a rate with budget, for 6 nights starting march 30th, ford focus or similar, $161.65 total. I played around with different coupon codes, and changing pick-up location. I will pick up the car at budget on Tropicana across from the Orleans and drop off at the airport rental center. I did this once before, I was not crazy about it but it worked. the service and the car selection on Tropicana was not great but it made for the best rate. and of course I will keep checking for the next 4 weeks.

have rented through them several times (not in Vegas though) and never have had a problem.
