booking flights

My wife and I are going to Vegas in September. We're now starting to look at flights. My question is are there certain days of the week that a flight might be cheaper to book than other days of the week? I believe someone told me there are but I can't remember.
Thanks for any info.
Sundays and Fridays tend to be the most expensive, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays least expensive.

But there can be exceptions, so I encourage you to look as far out as you can. I know on Delta's site you can look at +/- 3 days and on Southwest you can look at whole months at a time. Other sites have similar features.

Good luck.
I also find the best fares are Tuesdays and Wednesday. Usually use Kayak.com to check fares
I have found that over the last year or so, you may be better off waiting a while to book, depending on where you are flying from. For Chicago flights to Vegas, they are quite high for later in the year and will likely drop a good chunk. Check what the best prices are in the next few weeks, and then check what they are for your time frame and compare. If the near term flights are a lot cheaper, then you are better off waiting. That may also give you an idea of a good target fare.

Thank you all for the info. We'll try out those ideas and see what happens.
We booked some flights on Southwest for early August; booked them in January. They were expensive then, but have kept going up.

Anyone care to predict whether they might drop again between now and then?
I would watch those fuel prices the trend they are on will not be helping us too much.
