Budget Fastbreak

Budget has a program called "Fastbreak". You sign up for it and then when you rent a car you can skip the counter and go right to the lot.

I'm now signed up. Never done this before. Do you really just go hop in car in the lot and show the parking-lot attendnant your drivers license and credit card? And then you are on your way?

The first time you rent you will have to visit the counter at the Fastbreak desk at the lot. For future rentals, you will just be able to pick up the car reserved for you as shown on the screen at the Fastbreak desk.
The paperwork will be sitting in the car waiting for you...location on board in parking lot.
I like that but when I use others, Alamo for instance, I get my choice of any car in the row. I much prefer that over being assigned a car. If I do not like the car can I go to the window and get another? I am currently booked with Budget in January for the first time even though I am a Fastbreak signee.

They will change the car for you...takes about 5 minutes to run the new paperwork. You do it at the booth in the garage. We never take a black one and they have switched for us with no problem.
Thanks Cap.
Just an update...I used Fastbreak for the first time on my last trip. I had to go to the counter in the parking lot. They DID NOT ask to see my Costco Card for the coupon code. Picked up my car and left. I believe next time I can skip that counter in the parking lot and go right to the car. They have a little electronic bulletin board that tells you where your car is.
That's good to hear. We have a car reserved through Costco in April and I signed up for Fastbreak.
